AfD nomination of Halo vehicle

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Halo vehicle. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Halo vehicle. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Saltillo Engine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Has sat without improvements for 8 months; zero sources.... I can't find any actual direct affiliation to Chrysler, just that it's an engine company. Actually, the only mentions I see of the company are nothing more than press releases. "Automobile factory" is also rather contrary since it's an engine plant.

Hi, File:Bartonsville Covered Bridge.jpg and File:Worrall Covered Bridge East.jpg have been uploaded by you, but lack a customary assertion of creation (e.g. "own work", "uploaded by photographer/me", or "I took this photo"). A tag has been placed on Storage Decisions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:36, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity

[edit]

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. List of automotive superlatives - 20 vehicle limitation

[edit]

Hi Sfoskett - I have been involved in some fairly involved discussions about what cars should or should not be included on the List of fastest production cars. That list uses the same parametres as the List of automotive superlatives. One of the criteria that has become reasonably contentious is a requirement that 20 of a particular model were made. The Guniess book of records, for instance, accept the Bugatti Veyron as the worlds fastest production car, yet only 5 of that particular model were made.

In checking back on the origin of the number requirement I found that it appeared from an August 2004 edit of yours. Are you able to enlighten me as to how this number was arrived at? The talk page Talk:List of automotive superlatives#Untitled states that it had been resolved by public discussion and vote, however, a check of the archives did not turn up anything (unless I missed it). NealeFamily (talk) 23:30, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

After some more searching I have tracked the relevant discussion at the bottom of Talk:List of automotive superlatives/Archive 2#Ultima GTR item. NealeFamily (talk) 01:22, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of change

[edit]

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that if you are inactive for a continuous three year period, you will be unable to request return of the administrative user right. This includes inactive time prior to your desysopping if you were desysopped for inactivity and inactive time prior to the change in policy. Inactivity is defined as the absence of edits or logged actions. Until such time as you have been inactive for three years, you may request return of the tools at the bureaucrats' noticeboard. After you have been inactive for three years, you may seek return of the tools only through WP:RFA. Thank you. MBisanz talk 00:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sfoskett, I have a question regarding Ford Model A (1927–1931). You have written: Typical fuel consumption was between 20 and 30 mpg (US) (9 and 12 L/100 km) using a Zenith one-barrel carburetor, with a top speed of around 65 mph (104 km/h). Are you sure fuel consumption at top speed has been that low? Even modern cars fail to achieve such a low level of fuel consumption at top speed. Do you maybe habe a source? --217.227.106.154 (talk) 16:28, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Where did you get your information on the existence of a GM plant in Tillsonburg, ON?

[edit]

I was looking at the list of GM plants to try to decipher from my VIN in which plant my car was assembled, and, according to that list, it was the Tillonsburg Assembly plant. Now, Tillonsburg doesn't exist, but Tillsonburg does, so I'm assuming that was just a tpyo. That aside, I can find no reference anywhere on the internet or any map of any GM plant located in Tillsonburg, ON. I was wondering if you had your source on hand, or if you could confirm or deny the existence of said plant some other way?

Speedy deletion nomination of Veeam

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Veeam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

this "article" is perhaps more like a press release than a true encyclopedia article. According to this source, the page's #1 top editor is Alexander88Cherkasov, who admits on his user page that he's a Veeam employee. The use of Wikipedia for promotional purposes is forbidden. Please delete this article per CSD G11 and WP:NOTFORPROMOTION. Thank you for your time

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Unforgettableid (talk) 10:29, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ford P platform requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
